We have been renovating our home for a while now, bit by bit and now I can say that is is really done. However, it took a lot of time, lots of sweat and lots of trial and error in the process. What Are The Criteria That We Use to Recommend The Products On the Site?

When we decide to review a product, it will be based on several factors.

  Many products were or will be actually bought by us (due to our recent total home renovation which made us come into contact with many home appliances, tools and gadgets that one needs for such major projects).

  Others will be extensively researched online and offline. We research individual home renovation manufacturers to ensure that the materials they are using are top notch and the quality of their products is up to par as well.

  We generally look for products that are useful in home DIY projects, that are safe and easy to use, have a long life shelf, look good (it doesn't matter for a hammer, but it sure matters for your next kitchen cabinet), and it's great value for the money. Also having a good customer service and warranty is a plus.

Basically we will only review and recommend products that we would be (or are actually) using ourselves at home.

     But first, I would like to recommend you one of the best best books on the market on home building and renovating (yes, we have it at home and we used it when we renovated our own house). This was actually our starting point when we got to renovate our own house as well. It is quite cheap at Amazon and if you want to save money, you can buy a used copy as well. But if you are thinking of renovating your home, get this book, it will make your life so much easier and you will thank me for it!

The truth is, unless you know what you are doing, building or renovating a home can be quite a daunting task. First of all because you haven't done it. Then also you might not know many people who have actually gone through a home renovating project. And usually it is quite expensive, and I mean it can get very expensive!
